Where it Begins

The experience starts at Malé Airport, where Constance Moofushi Maldives greets guests with cold towels and welcome drinks in a bright and relaxing private lounge, featuring an outdoor smoking patio, lounge beds with curtains and foot-massage machines, fresh flowers, games and soft drinks. When the seaplane docks at the resort's arrival jetty, guests are welcomed by staff bearing a large painted Manta Ray, the symbol of the island. Check-in takes place in the sand-floored lobby decked out in rustic-chic style, with wicker furniture, rope and jute accents, and an abundance of white colours. 

Delightful Dining

There are two delightful restaurants, Manta and Alizee. Manta, an open-air palapa-style structure with a carpet of sand, and mobile sculptures of sea-shells strung from the ceiling, serves up daily-changing menus from around the world, including local Maldivian delicacies, from live cooking stations. On its over-water deck, you can enjoy your meal surrounded by panoramic ocean views, and accompany it with the finest wines, which the friendly sommelier will help you choose. Romantic Alizee, with its wave-side tables set right on the sands, offers a tempting à la carte selection of dishes cooked on a charcoal grill.

Midday meals, along with an imaginative choice of smoothies, are available at the tiki-style Totem Bar, with tree-trunk tables, and exotic figures carved into the bar. In the evening, the sophisticated Manta Bar, with its stacked-rock pillars and nautical-style rope-wrapped poles, is the place to go for before-dinner and after-dinner drinks, at the bar with its hanging lights and carved wooden stools. A resident DJ keeps the music going and invites you to dance the night away. 

Relax by the Water

The resort has an exceptionally lovely infinity pool, curved to mirror the shape of the beach. It is decorated with small mosaic tiles, and has a wooden deck directly facing the ocean, furnished with luxurious loungers. For further relaxation there is U Spa, set on a wooden jetty right over the sea, with simple treatment rooms that have polished wooden floors, and flexiglass floor windows for watching the fish swim by. 

Out and About

As well as a choice of no fewer than 32 dive sites within 30 minutes of the resort, there's a wealth of other stand-out activities to enjoy, including big game fishing and traditional night fishing, dolphin cruises and sunset cruises. You can even hire a traditional dhoni to drop you and your partner for a whole day, or half a day, on your own heavenly deserted island, the ultimate romantic treat. And for a genuine glimpse of the Maldivian way of life, you can take a boat trip to Himandoo, a local fishing village, where you can see the school and the mosque, and sample the local shops.
