The Arabian Court is regarded as the heart of the One &Only Royal Mirage resort, forming a seamless link between The Palace and the Residence & Spa. Designed to evoke the spirit of the Orient, it is the most traditional of the three properties, with dramatic Arab-style architecture harmonising with the courtyards, fountains and sheltered walkways. As you arrive you are greeted with a shimmering pool where the reflections offer glimpses of the sea, out to the ultimate horizon.
The Arabian Court is especially suitable for families, with many facilities for children including the Kids Only Centre, as well as all the amenities of the wider Royal Mirage resort. The grounds are full of little nooks and crannies, where guests can wander and relax, and children can play in complete safety. Although the hotel is quiet and secluded, its Peregrine Ballroom holds up to 200 guests and is ideal for weddings and parties.
The hotel offers three intimate dining options on its own premises, though guests also have access to dining at the Royal Mirage Palace. The Rotisserie for all-day dining is a relaxed restaurant on a courtyard terrace, overlooking the gardens. A distinctive feature of the restaurant is the show kitchen, with huge copper chimneys and enamelled cast-iron ovens, where guests can mingle with the chefs and discuss their exact requirements.
In contrast, Nina is an atmospheric basement Indian restaurant, with flickering candles and beaded curtains setting the scene. A particularly popular dining spot is Eauzone, on the beach with tables set among palm trees, also featuring shaded wooden decks, and floating Majlis or seating areas. The restaurant serves international food with an Asian twist, casual in style by day, and formal at night.
The hotel also boasts a particularly striking and dramatic venue, the Rooftop and Sports Lounge. Beneath a central dome, there is a circular bar where live sporting events are shown. Seating is either outdoors around the dome, or inside by candlelight, with embroidered cushions scattered around.
